Château de Nazelles

“Lovely spot very close to Amboise. Dating from the 1500's the Chateau has been restored with care. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Veronique and her staff were very helpful with local recommendations. We used Nazelles as our base for visiting many of the chateaus in the region over our 5 day stay. Very friendly dog Poppy welcomed us every morning.”

“Had an amazing time here, it's a great place to stay for visiting les châteaux de la Loire. The property is beautiful with extensive gardens and a great view. I even proposed to my fiancée here and was able to find a bottle of local sparkling wine and a photographer through Véronique, the proprietor. “We loved our stay in the troglodyte Terra Alta suite! It was the perfect communion of modernity and antiquity, with an amazing sauna and outdoor heated soaking tub overlooking the Loire Valley. Veronique, the host, is delightful. A well appointed breakfast in the charming dining room was an excellent start to each day. It was a short drive (10 min) from the Chateau into Amboise, and a great base for exploring Loire Valley and its Chateaus and villages. But be warned: there are 54 steps to the suite, so pack lightly!”

The breakfasts at the Château were our favorite meals of the trip—really, really delicious and all locally sourced or made in-house. We cannot wait to go back to Château de Nazelles—for the amazing breakfast, beautiful location, wonderful hospitality, and unforgettable memories!”
